For a yearly subscription, you get a free trial period that starts once your purchase is confirmed with your iTunes Account. The subscription will start and then renew automatically after intervals when the trial period concludes. You should disable auto-renew or cancel subscription in your account settings at least 24-hours before the end of the current period if you do not want your account to be charged for the upcoming period.
